We are looking for a creative and detail oriented Fashion Designer to join our apparel manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for developing new styles, preparing design concepts, selecting fabrics and trims, and supporting the product development process. The role involves developing apparel designs based on market trends, customer preferences and brand requirements, creating sketches, tech packs and design specifications, selecting fabrics, trims, colours and prints, and coordinating with sampling and production teams. The candidate will monitor sample development, conduct fittings, suggest design improvements and ensure that designs are practical, production friendly and cost effective. The role also involves working with cutting, stitching and finishing teams, maintaining sizing and quality standards, planning seasonal collections suitable for bulk production, supporting fabric sourcing and vendor coordination, and completing designs within production schedules. Candidates should have a Bachelor degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Textile Design or a related field, preferably from NIFT, along with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience. Strong sketching, illustration and design development skills are required, along with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and CorelDRAW. Good knowledge of fabrics, garment construction and apparel production processes is essential. The candidate should have a good understanding of colours, trends, styling and garment details, with strong attention to detail, communication and teamwork skills. Experience in mens and boys apparel, activewear or casual wear will be an added advantage.
